UK-based myPOS Europe has re-launched its Mobile Checkout solution with a new feature for merchants to accept in-app payments. The solution was first created in 2016 to enable online checkout integrations. The upgraded version will allow in-app integration.
European payments firm myPOS is relaunching its mobile checkout technology, which allows in-app payments. The payments gateway works with several of the leading payment brands, including Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay International, JCB and Bancontact, according to a press release. Additional payment brands will be added in the future.
In 2008, 83% of people still owned a basic feature phone that was used almost exclusively for text messages and phone calls. A relatively short ten years later, and 78% had bought a smartphone that allowed them to surf the internet, play games, watch video, and far more. That same revolution is now beginning to play out in Point of Sale (POS) technology.
The service, first developed in 2016 as part of the online checkout integrations, has been improved to ensure seamless in-app integration. The myPOS in-app payments gateway accepts the most popular card schemes – VISA, Mastercard, UnionPay International, JCB, Bancontact – and will onboard more in the coming years.
