Omnichannel betaaloplossing nu ook voor kleine zelfstandigen in Belgiƫ

myPOS, a supplier of payment solutions for mainly self-employed persons, has entered into a partnership with Bancontact. Until now, only Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay have been used. Because Bancontact is the most used payment system in our country, the system is becoming more interesting for Belgian traders and the self-employed.

ā€œ myPOS is a cashless payment solution for small merchants and the self-employed, enabling them to accept card payments not only in-store, but also online or via mobile devices. This is done through a range of mobile devices and online payment services ,ā€ explains Anthony Notos. He is director of Heights Payments Terminals, the representative of the British myPOS in the Benelux and a number of other countries.

First omnichannel solution in Belgium

That company sells payment terminals and payment solutions. According to Notos, the partnership with Bancontact offers the first ‘omnichannel’ solution for self-employed small businesses in Belgium. ā€œ Most companies use solutions such as Ogone for accepting online payments, and for conventional payments they use devices from Worldline and CCV, among others. myPOS distinguishes itself by combining all forms of payment in one system: with the payment card, the payment request via an app, an integration in a webshop, a ‘MOTO’ acceptance in the hotels, and so on, ā€he says .

This means that the merchant or standalone can accept payments on their account regardless of the channel. It is a modular system and he himself decides which payment channels he wants to use ,ā€ he says. ā€œ Given Bancontact’s position as the leading payment system in Belgium, myPOS can be the first to offer an omnichannel payment solution for small merchants on the Belgian market ā€, it concludes.

The myPOS payment platform is not only intended for physical stores, but also for merchants with mobile activities, such as taxi drivers and market vendors, and online merchants.
